Abstract

This article discusses the prose of Timur Pulatov. His view of Uzbek life, the life of ordinary people, analysis of the fate of people and their problems and experiences. The image of the specificity and contact of two cultures, two worlds, their interweaving. Pulatov's work has a special power of religious traditions, pene-trating into everyday life, urban architecture, verbal imagery, mythology and folklore, into the philosophical understanding of being, into relationships between people, ex-plicitly or indirectly forms a lifestyle, thinking, called oriental. It is noteworthy that in the works of Pulatov, the destinies of the characters line up in a certain invariant of a single destiny. His hero is presented in different age categories, goes from birth to death. The stages of the hero's journey are not summarized from text to text, but vary: names, occupation, chronotope of existence, moral and ethical choice.
